Jolly Phonics

Junior Infants are following the Jolly Phonics literacy scheme. It is a multi-sensory and child centred approach to teaching literacy.
In term one the children will learn 42 letter sounds made up of single letter sounds and digraphs.
Each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the children will learn a new sound. They will have a 'sound sheet' and the new sound stuck into their 'sound book' in their folder. 
The 'sound sheet' can be kept at home, but please send the 'sound book' in each day.
