Welcome to Margaret's Senior Infants
Scroll down to see what we've been up to in class.
The Food Pyramid
As part of our SPHE lesson, we've been learning about taking care of our bodies by eating healthy food.
We took a look at the food pyramid and created our own by cutting out different types of food from magazines and sticking them on the correct layer of the pyramid.
This helps us remember what foods we should be eating most of and what foods we should only eat once in a while.
Making 3D Shapes
I Spy Scavenger Hunt with our 6th Class Buddies
The children had a list of animals and plants to find in the school grounds.
With the help of their buddies, they ticked off each thing they saw on the list!
Do you want to build a snowman?
We used PVA glue and foam to create a puffy paint snowman!
Aistear - The Post Office
We use lots of different online resources in our class that are great for promoting interactive learning. Check out some of the websites we use that can also be used at home to develop numeracy skills.
Halloween Fancy Dress
Aistear - The Cafe
Every Tuesday and Thursday we have station teaching. The children really enjoy moving from each station independently and engaging in a variety of activities aimed at developing their literacy and numeracy skills.

Maths Week with 6th Class Buddies
During Maths Week, our buddies from 6th Class created a Maths Trail for us to figure out in the school grounds. We also created shape art using sponges and paint inspired by Paul Klee's 'Castle and the Sun'.
We used chalk on black sugar paper to create a self portrait.
