Welcome to the class 7 webpage for the 2018-2019 school year! :-) My name is Deirdre Smith and I am the class teacher. There are six fun-loving and bright students in our classroom who love to have fun and learn together. Linda, Margaret and Margit help us all throughout the day and we’d be lost without them! Class 7 is a special class for children with Autism. Enjoy the photos and videos of our classroom activities below!
Halloween Week 2018
This week we loved dressing up in costumes donated to our class. The skeleton and cat costumes are particular favourites! We made pumpkin mosaics, coloured Halloween pictures, did messy play with jelly filled with spiders and creepy crawlies and carved our very own pumpkin.
Enjoy the mid-term break everyone!
This month we enjoyed learning about the signs of Autumn. We examined pine cones, conkers, ‘helicopters’, ‘keys’ and lots of autumn leaves in our yard. We collected autumn materials for our Nature Table and read poems linked with Autumn.
We planted Daffodil bulbs, did leaf rubbings, did pointillism autumn trees and enjoyed the fresh dry autumn weather on our new favourite toys...the trikes! Thanks Carol for buying these for the school.
