This year fourth class took a trip to the the home of the best grass in Ireland, the fantastic GAA museum in Croke Park. The children got to take a behind the scenes look at the changing rooms, players lounge and of course the impressive pitch itself. Afterwards, we stopped off for ice cream on Bray seafront!
Welcome to Margaret's Fourth Class
Roots of Empathy
We are so lucky to have access to The Roots of Empathy programme which is facilitated by Susana. Baby Lucy and mum Sinead visit the classroom every three weeks during the school year. The children observe the baby’s development as well as identify and reflect on their own feelings and the feelings of others.
Halloween Parade
Fourth class made an excellent effort with their costumes for the annual BSP Halloween Parade!
Drama Workshop with Graffiti Theatre Group
Cork based theatre group Graffiti came to the school to give a drama workshop based on Humans: A Robot Musical. Fourth class went to see the production the next day in the Mermaid and it was resounding hit!
STEM - Building Paper Towers
The children in Fourth class used a single piece of paper to build a tower that would hold books. By folding the paper into different shapes, the children figured out that they could support the weight of many books with a single piece of paper.
Team Building - Spider Web
Fourth class engaged in a team building activity where they had to create a spider web made of wool and then weave themselves out of it by working together.
