Bray School Project Patron
The Patron of the school is a lay association: The Bray School Project. It is a registered charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee. Membership of the association is open to all who support its ethos and subscribe to the aims of the association, and carries a small annual fee (currently €2 per household). Every year, an AGM is held and an Executive Committee is elected by the members to carry out the duties of the patron.
The Patron is the legal owner of the school property and its role is to uphold and further the aims of the school. Members serve a one-year term. In the B.S.P the Executive Committee is comprised of three officers and six ordinary members.
It appoints two members to the Board of Management including the Chairperson.

Proposal on Patronage
A vote on the school patronage took place at this year's AGM - please see agenda above for details of the motion and some supporting documents below. The motion to seek to move under the patronage of Educate Together was passed by a resounding vote of the community.
This is a very significant step for the school. Bray School Project is a founder member of Educate Together but legally retains its own independent patron (The Bray School Project - see above). At the patron's 2017 AGM, a motion was passed to hold a vote on whether to formally apply to move under Educate Together patronage and that the Executive Committee establish a working group.
The Patronage Working Group was established and has since been conducting extensive research and consultation. On 10th February 2018, the Working Group hosted the an information session on this process which also included a presentation from Educate Together on the role and duties of a patron and the services provided by Educate Together.
Recordings of the presentations and slides are available to view here as well as the Board of Management position paper on the motion:
